im in 2 minds whether to purchase the q6600 or the e6600 (was set on the e6600 but then the price drop of the q6600 made it nice)

This processor will be put into a Antec Fusion HTPC Case - 430HE Watt PSU.

Im wondering will the 430w psu cope/work ok with the q6600 (other additions to be two 500gb samsung hard drives and a wireless pci network card)

thanks in advance.

I don't really want to create another thread, and knowing that this is mostly talking about PSU setup's with the Q6600 then I thought I'd post it here.

I currently have a 600W non-branded PSU, and I'm thinking of changing it to a Seasonic M12 Modular 500W Silent PSU or the Corsair HX 520W.

So I'm wondering, will that Seasonic 500W/Corsair 520W be enough for the following:-

Q6600, a 8800GTS, two 320GB HD's, and one DVD drive.

And are the Seasonic M12 Modular and Corsair HX 520W recommended PSU's for being really quiet as well?

Thanks a lot guys. :)

Brilliant, thanks for the replies. And SS-89, cheers for the link for your thread, and I think I'll be going with the Corsair HX 520W for when I update my setup.

Personally, I'd rule the E6600 out altogether now, and decide between the Q6600, and the E6750.

But that wasn't really your question :p
i see what your saying though, i shall be getting a Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD (due to the hdmi connector) for the htpc hence why im thinking of the e6600 or q6600.

Think im going to get the e6600 and get 8gb of ram instead (bit worried about the heat in the antec fusion case)
