A Q6600 will fit my P35C-DS3R wont it?

Its currently in the post now and its just hit me will it work?

Also will i be able to hit a good overclock on it?

Yes,

It's an LGA 775.

Depending on when you bought the board, you may need to flash the BIOS. In fact, i'd do that anyway.

The Manufacturing Process is 65 nm on a Q6600, The motherboard says "Supports Intel Core 2 multi-core and 45nm processors".

I thought it would work but this has just got my worried ;p

The CPU manufacturing process is irreverent to the platform. Providing it's the same socket it will work fine.
