Hey, im curious as to if its worth paying the extra for a Q6700 (around September time so there will be price drops by then) considering that i want to over clock anyway and the only difference in the specs on paper is a slightly higher Ghz.

Would it be best to just buy the Q6600?

Also, what sort of clocking speeds are people reaching on air with these two CPU's?

I'd just go for the Q6600 if your planning on overclocking anyway. The Q6700 is overpriced for something that offers minimal gains over the Q6600. Generally, I believe that people are hitting 3.0GHz - 3.2GHz with a decent air cooler, maybe a little more with the right chip.

Seeing as the Q6700 isn't out till July 22nd (I think) will they be guaranteed to be G0 chips?

Certainly something I would like to know. I don't mind paying extra if I'm guarenteed the G0 stepping..!
