Q8200 stock cooler: UPdate!

Hi.

Should i be safe clocking a q8200 to 3.0ghz on the stock intel cooler?
Im kind of new to this, but didnt want to risk trying if the cooler isnt up to it.

was thinking multi7, 430fsb, vcore1.3.

i didnt want to touch much else as im not sure what it does..

cheers.

A new cooler can be had for cheap, if you really wanted to overclock its not such a big investment, a arctic cooling freezer pro can be had for like £12.

small update:

set the fsb to 400 (399.99) and left everything else on auto.

core temp went upto 56 after 3 hours of orthos... so i dont think ill go any higher on the stock cooler.

is there any way of locking the cpu multiplier to 7??..

as it keeps dropping to 6 then back to 7... ( variing from 2.4ghz to 2.8) speedsteps turned off.

Boards a P5Q PRO.

Also, is the Asus 'silent knight' cooler any good?...£35 on ****** now..

found out how to lock the multiplier to x7 now..

If i wanted to increase the fsb to 430, what would be a good starting point for NB and Vcore voltage??..
Also ram divider?.

(got an arctic cooling freezer extreme winging its way to me)

Fitted my freezer, orthos and coretemp show 44'c under full load...
happy days!
(on core 0...core 2,3 and 4 are all 39'c)

maybe i can bang it up over 3.0ghz now.. with a little help from you guys :D
