Q8300 Overclocking help wanted!

Is there an option in voltage control that says CPU vid special add? I just googled your board and if it's the one you have then that will be how you can change your volts.

Should look like this if it's the one I'm looking at.

Cool, that should add volts to your CPU. The DRAM voltage option will raise volts on your ram, but don't do anything crazy with that. I wouldn't exceed 1.9V on the ram max. More volts might stabilise the ram at 2.7ghz if that's what's holding you back. Alternatively, remove the slow stick and use the VID offset to push your CPU to 3ghz or more.

On the CPU VID special add, it was default on 1.24 but then I selected "12.5mv" then it went down from 1.24v so I put it back to auto now its at 1.16v :S

Don't worry, just bump it up to 1.27v and see how you get on. Try removing that slow stick if it still isn't stable at 2.7ghz. If that fixes the problem keep on trucking :)
