Looking for some recommendations.

I have a sky stream box > Q90R Soundbar > LGB7. The issue is that the Q90R handles HLG HDR and HDR however fails with DV passthrough. I've changed HDMI cables to eliminate that.

Simple solution is to use Sky stream > B7 > ARC but sound sync is a mess this way round so that's out.

I'm looking for a HDMI splitter that splits audio only over HDMI and retains 4k DV on another output also open to other solutions that will work.

Not surprised, Samsung hates Dolby vision and their soundbars are designed to work with Samsung TVs, not LG.

The B7 unfortunately does not have hdmi 2.1 so if you run audio out from tv to soundbar you will be restricted to crap audio and no Atmos or DTS:X

Imo if I was you I'd look at a new TV or a different soundbar OR just be happy with HDR10, Dolby Vision doesn't look that much different to HDR

The B7 does Atmos over ARC... It may not have EARC but to be frank do any of the streaming aps offer better sound quality?

All I want to do is split the HDMI signal to get audio only over the split output.

I have a Q90R soundbar connected to a BX, and previously a B7, with no DV or Atmos issues - specifically I have an ATV and 4k bluray player connected directly and Sky Q / PS5 over ARC / eARC.. could the Sky Stream be the issue?

It could be indeed, however if I use ARC via sky the audio is out of sync which is why I'm looking to split the audio over HDMI to the soundbar and connect the video directly to the TV. I was hoping that someone could point me in the direction of a unit that purely splits the audio.... Amazon is full of splitters but I'm not sure which one will actually do it.

On another note try connecting you ATV to the TV and have the audio over ARC back to the soundbar, I found that to also go out of sync on my C9 to my Dennon AVR.

There is probably others that are cheaper and do similar things, I just know the HD Fury Arcana products have a good reputation and a lot of people use them with Apple TV boxes to get the audio they want. You may just need to scan amazon/alibaba type websites for a splitter that says it can do 4k DV and Atmos

Proably cause issues, it's not like non sync protocol like coaxial/optical audio, component/s-video etc. Those cheapo rainforest hdmi switches/multiplexes have issues, I tried one, didn't work.

Recommended he changed his AVR.

I'm not changing anything, this TV and soundbar is in the bedroom so I don't want to throw a load of cash at it + there is no room for an AVR otherwise I would have gone down that route originally.

The soundbar was an ex demo from Currys with no remote (harmony sorts that out) so probably has a million full blast hours on it but it works fine. The only issue I have it seems is that it can't pass through DV @50/60Hz which is what the Sky stream puck offers the bar can apparently handle DV @ 30Hz but due to Sky's cheap boxes they don't offer that.

I was just looking for a simple solution.
