Q9400 CORE SPEED LOWER THAN IT SHOULD BE??

Hi to everyone,

i recently bought a new pc and i have the intel core 2 quad Q9400 2,66MHz processor. Until yesterday i thought my cores speed was 2,66 but after i runned CPUID I realised that my speed is set to to 1998MHz with rated fsb at 1332MHz. My motherbord is dfi x48 dk and ram ocz reaper 2x4 gb. How can i fix my speed to 2.66Mhz? I dont want to o/c i just want my cores to be in they real speed. Please help me.

To double check, open some software or run a stress test programe to check the multiplier does rise.

Just run something intensive, open up a game or something that will stress your computer and you should see the speed jump up.
