Hi guys
I just Ordered a Q9400 and just want to know how for people have pushed it? ill be using a Asus P5Q Pro Turbo Intel P45 and a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

Unless you got one with a low VID that clocks well on stock voltage with the ACF7pro your probably looking at about 3.5-3.6gig before it can't really cope with the temperatures any more.

You gonna struggle to hit the really high clocks unless you have a really good motherboard due to the FSB needed - 3.6-3.8gig is about where it will top out - but people have hit 4gig or slightly more with boards that can run a 500FSB.

The Asus P5Q Pro Turbo is meant to be a really good clocker i was just unsure about the q9400

Ive got my q9450 to 3.55 at 1.35v.

I cant get it any higher.

Using a gigabyte p45 u3ldr mobo.

Its been stable for over 3 months.

I would want to go any higher tbh.
