currently my Q9550 is running happy at 3.2ghz and ive just fitted a Asus gtx750ti OC 2gb into my aging rig.

Are they a fair balance or is my cpu going to bottleneck the graphics card.?

My rig is:

Q9550 2.83ghz @ 3.2ghz
Asus GTX 750ti OC 2gb
8GB DDR2 800
500GB WB Sata3 HDD
Windows 7 Pro

Is this still an ok rig as on a really tight budget for games like BO3 and GTA5 ? ;)

There are a surprising number of C2Q and 750 Ti GTA 5 videos about. E.g.

Shows what you can expect. Definitely playable at 1366x768 with overclocked CPU.

What motherboard do you have as that Q9550 should go much farther than that. My old one did 3.6Ghz on stock volts and 4.13Ghz with 1.325v. Excellent thread on clocking the Q9550 on Asus P5Q boards here.

People under-estimate the Q9550 - at 4GHz with some fancy RAM (which seems to make quite a difference) on a board that does a high FSB stable it isn't embarrassed to badly by my 4820K specific applications aside - it was only once I went from OC'd dual 470s (about GTX680 performance) to a 780 that I started to see the 4820K pull ahead in gaming by a meaningful amount.
