Just a very quick question, my new Q9550 has arrived this morning and was wondering if people could tell me what stepping it is.
Code is L832B390
Production date 19/01/09

Has a "S spec" which says "SLAWQ"?, any help?

Just had a look and I think that means its C1 stepping?
Anyone know how good this is?

Correct, c1 stepping.

These are not as good as e0 stepping and run hotter and in general do not overclock as well.

Thanks for that, I know every chip is different, but any idea how high these chips overclock too? As was looking to go 3.6+

Well I'm using a EvGA 780i and a Noctua NH-U12P (with 2 P12 fans), so would hope so!!

Via another site, but only before it came with Empire:Total War, that saved my sister £25. Other than that, the price was about the same.
