'evening guys,

The BIOS on my Q9550 rig got wiped and as such I've lost my overclock :(. Annoyingly, since I did the Q9550 rig I've gone and done an i5 750 machine... meaning that I've completely forgotten everything about the 45nm C2Q :( (to be fair it was over two years ago!).

The hardware is:
I can't remember what the Overclock was, let-alone what volts it used! Everything is now back at stock :(. All I can remember was that it wasn't too hot, and whatever speed it was the difference now it's back at stock is significantly noticeable :(.

If anyone can give me any pointers it would be most appreciated .

Cheers,

that's almost exactly the same spec as my old rig :p

i only had a q9450 though, which wouldn't go any higher than 3.8GHz. i settled on 3.7GHz as that allowed me to drop the voltage a tad to 1.38v (needed 1.4v for 3.8GHz)

nb/fsb voltage was around 1.3v iirc, vtt around 1.28, memory set to 2.1, and finally pll 1.52.

i'd say dial in those for whatever fsb speed you want, then tweak from there.

oh, one last thing, i think i used 0.67 gtl ref for cpu, and 0.63 for nb.

good luck :)
