q9550 how far

getting my q9650 this week and will be setting the mobo at 500fsb and starting at 3.75ghz upping the multiplier to see how good it is :D
 
Not with a X48 mobo you won't. My LT X48 can't even manage 450. These boards are badly limited with a 45nm quad. Pity i did'nt do more research before i got mine. :(
 
Does on an x38/48 board, to get the best from a 45nm quad you need a p45 board, 450 fsb seems to be the limit on x38/48. P45's will do this with ease.
 
notice you don't have a core voltage in cpu-z lol looks quite am impressive clock am quite happy at 3.6 at 1.184 volts managed 3.65 at the same :) so that will do me
 
ok hut 4ghz but temps are gettin quite high just after a few seconds of prime highest was 75* so i though id better stop, think i might invest in water setup :)
