Q9550 Idle temps!!!

New to this but here goes,I have just built a pc details below.
Intel Q9550 with stock intel heatsink fan
4gb Corsair ddr2 800
Asrock x48 turbotwins mobo
Ati hd4850
2xSeagate sata 500gb hdd.
2xdvdrw
Dell sp2309w
Thermaltake m9 case with 2x120mm fans front & back.
Vista ultimate 64bit
No intention of overclocking as i mainly use it for photoshop.
When i run the hardware monitor software that came with the mobo it says the cpu temp is 51 & mb temp is 44,looking in these forums that seems to be a very high reading as that is just with vista running.
Am i being paranoid or is that high?
If so what cooler do you recommend?

That is pretty high for an idle temp although it's not dangerously high or anything, just not ideal. Download realtemp and check that it gives you the same temps.

If you want to go for an aftermarket cooler theres loads to choose from so it comes down to how much you want to spend really.
