Right, got me a shiny new Q9550 as my board not happy to clock E6600 and a good excuse to go quad! Very happy so far but... :(

I have 3 out of 4 temp sensors stuck! Cores 0,1 & 2 do not move betwen idle and load!
Idle-
Core 0 - 44c
Core 1 - 34c
Core 2 - 43c
Core 3 - 34c

Load-
Core 0 - 44c
Core 1 - 34c
Core 2 - 43c
Core 3 - 44c

Cpuz reports it as Q9550 Rev C1 Cant find the Vid for it, but I swear I saw it somewhere at about 1.23?

I want to clock it. Should I just read the 1 sensor and be aware it is 10c below the higher temp sensors? Or should I RMA it?

I want to hit 4Ghz with it! :D

Oh I like a challenge.

With cooling under water I am 90% sure I will hit 4Ghz, maybe even as far as 4.2Ghz :)

This board is a mad fsb clocker with some people hitting +500Mhz over on xtreme

subbytna

What motherboard you got?

this one :D

Is that out of a shuttle or Dell?

I recon I will get past 470fsb with 8.5 multi to give me my 4Ghz!

Want to try 533fsb with 8 multi to give 4.26Ghz but think that might be pushing my luck!!

in your opinion mate, what would you ned to know to be able to tell me what I could get out of my rig?

would 3.3 or 3.4 be stable? I was going for 3.2 but if it could get higher without any problems I'd give it a crack

The best thing you can do is post screen shots of your Bios, then we can have a look at what you can change and work from there.
Have you had a good read of the overclocking guide?
Its a sticky at the top of this section
