Hey. I'm currently trying for 3.4GHz at 400fsb, which really shouldn't be this difficult.
Prime small FFTs passes for many hours, I stopped it at about 8. The blend test fails within two or three minutes.

I think this means RAM/northbridge failing, and cpu fine. However increasing fsb term or northbridge votlage makes no difference. Changing ram voltage does, but only by a couple of minutes. On a P5Q board.

Northbridge 1.2, up to 1.3 tried
Fsb term 1.18, tried up to 1.28
Vcore 1.25, raising a couple of notches has no effect.

The ram is ocz 1066mhz, running at 800mhz, auto timings, so really shouldnt be throwing errors. It runs happily at 1066mhz in the same board with a lower fsb. Temperatures are fine throughout. Any thoughts guys?

i have trouble with the reaper RAM and i have only 4G that could be holding you back...what bios are you using?

What voltage do you run the reaper at sayso? with my previous 4gb of reaper 800mhz i had mine set to 2.02v in bios (apparently p5q's overvolt ram upto 0.08v) upgraded a few weeks ago to 8500 reaper and using the same voltage.

Bios is 16** I believe, hard to check while memtest is running. I've heard 08** or 14** is considered a good call, but cant really believe voltage revision is killing me at 400fsb.

I'm currently passing memtest at 1.2 northbridge, 2.00 ram. About 15 minutes in I think. Trying ram at 2.1V bios was perhaps a mistake on my part then, though I doubt I damaged it in the brief time it was running.

Its possible that Ive broken windows by this point, so will go down the route of bios flash and new windows install if I cant get further with the bios.

edit: passed two hours of memtest
