yeah read somewhere (can't recall teh site) that c2d to c2q, and PII X2 to PII X4 made huge (ie. 2X perf) increases in BFBC@ perf, whereas i3 dualie to i5 quad did not.

just sayin' is all.
 
With a quad you have extra cores to run tasks running in the background. With a dual if the game utilises both cores it still needs to use these cores for background tasks etc..

I say go 6 core complete overkill is the only answer...:D
