I bought this a couple of days ago and set it all up fine. Everything was up and running until this morning. When I switched it on it beeped once and then the "i" button just flashes red/green and I can't access it at all. I tried to restart it but it's still the same. I then tried to set it up again from scratch but now I keep getting an error message:

"Operation failed. Please check the correctness of settings, network connection stability, and make sure the disk drive is installed and initiated on the server."

Anyone else come across problems like this?

Mines been very reliable..

Where is the error message shown, can you access it via it's web config, or via the QNAP Finder?

Looking on their forums (I saw your post), someone had a DOA unit with a red/green flashing light, they RMA'd it and the replacement worked with the same network cables/setup he had before, so I think it may be broken :(

Not ideal, but I'd look at RMA'ing it back to where you bought it from.

I saw that post as well about the broken one. It was all working fine until this morning though so not sure what's happened to it. I can't access it from either the web config or QNAP Finder. Just running through setup again to see if that works.

If I can't get it working again I'll have to RMA it and I bought it from here :)

Re-formatted the drives and started again and it all seems to be working ok now (fingers crossed). Let's see how I get on in the next couple of days.

Got the same problem. I reformatted my discs on a PC (low level, not a "quick" format).

Doesn't seem to want to play ...

I just did a quick format on my PC and everything seems to be working fine now.

One thing I have a problem with, it seems to take ages for my PC to recognise the NAS when I turn it on. A couple of restarts usually solves the problem but it's not ideal. Anyone else had this problem?
