which of these is better?

ignoring price, customer support etc.

performance and quality?

without overclocking & with overclocking?

Which would be better?

Fine to have other threads like this about them too as long as they don't break the rules outlined in that linked thread :)

Which models are you talking about specifically?

Performance will depend more on what your personal preferences and tolerances are really. Quality wise I could be wrong but I think the PLS is usually better if your doing stuff where the color accuracy is important but the IPS will often be better if your interest is the viewing/media consumption side rather than production side. (EDIT: For clarity I'm talking about the screens in question and/or similar models rather than about PLS/IPS in general).

I was not thinking he cannot have a new thread just that there might be some input already there from others in that thread. ;)

I could have linked him off forum to the massive thread on these screens but not sure if against the rules as they may have prices and links in it.

I got the qnix qx2710 evo 2 matte and very happy with it, can go upto 120 (slight distortion) but keep it at 96hz and looks perfect - paid about £30 custom charge.

the stand is crap but the screen is excellent.

from what I saw on the reviews/feedback, the true10 model doesn't overclock well at all and is noticeably slower, so that one is perhaps best to avoid unless buying for graphic works and not games

QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution ll SE Matte 27" SAMSUNG PLS 2560x1440 WQHD PC Monitor

That the better one then?

I would say so, yes.

The true10 had only been out a short time when I was ordering but the first impressions were quite poor, allot of problems, frame skipping on overclock - I hate hassle and was very 50/50 about ordering overseas and just wanted a good chance of something that works with minimal fuss.

going from a xl2720t I had allot of concerns about this type of monitor, but the positives far outweigh the negatives (bad stand and would be a problem if you didn't use a solid table and it's not as smooth/responsive for twichy fps shooters compared to the benq, still perfectly usable though
