Afternoon all,

I've had this pad for a while now and used to absolutely love it - but I now think it's time to get a new one as the grain is worn.

However, OCuK etc don't appear to stock them anymore - I'm assuming they are EoL.

Do any of the other QPAD products feature the same coating or has this been ditched? Or indeed are there any other comparable products from other brands?

I'd say the Roccat Sota (I have one, and a Qpad 5K). Seems to be of the same ilk. thin, glidy cloth texture on top of a hard layer, with a soft rubber layer at the bottom for grip. It's not completely rigid like a hard surface pad, but less flexible and a lot less 'bouncy' than most rubber pads.

EDIT : hmmm the EC-R is actually completely rigid. So not like the Sota then.

Yeah, its a rigid plastic with a grainy coating - I find it's great for glide and precision.

It's this grain that I was wondering about more than the material of the pad itself.
