Hey Guys,

Unfortunately my beloved Enermax Aurora keyboard has failed permanently I believe. The bracket holding the scissor mechanism on the enter key has failed due to plastic fatigue and I can't see a way to get around this without replacing the entire baseboard within the aluminium chassis along with every key!

I'm looking for alternatives and have tested the Corsair K70, which also features a part aluminium chassis. I really liked it! I've therefore settled on a keyboard with red switches. However I would like a black board with blue backlight, a combination that unfortunately Corsair does not offer.

A bit of research yields the Qpad MK80 and Ducky DK2108S Zero Shine as options that are full sized, black with blue backlighting. Unfortunately I do not believe they incorporate aluminium into their design?

I was wondering if anyone had experience with them both and could offer any insight into their differences, pros and cons?

Cheers!

I use a Qpad MK85.

The difference from the 80 to 85 is LED colour and the 85 has full N-key rollover over USB, and the 85 also has programmable keys. Everything else is the same and it's a great keyboard.

1 niggle with my 85 and I can't see why it would be different on the 80 or any other keyboard is that with the bigger keys like "Enter" it won't be fully lit, 1 LED isn't enough.

+1 to Qpad from me.
