QQ - Is an Corsair RM550x still a capable PSU

This is from my old rig, I'm planning to build a new computer for my step son for Christmas. Its his first computer.
I wondering if i should sell this and looking on ebay they go for about £45. Should i sell and get another PSU or keep this as its gold rating and has enough power for his new computer.

I'm going to plan to get a AM4 build combo with a mid tier GPU, so nothing top end.

You thoughts?

It's a pretty good unit and I think had a 10 year warranty (and was release in 2016 I think)

Personally I'd still be happy to use it.

I'd keep it, especially since you're planning to build a modest PC (e.g. 2K might be a different story).

A replacement of the same tier will be expensive because they start at 650 or 750 now (around £80-£100).
