Right now I have an AX1200 but I dont believe its going to be able to cut it come tax time as I'm thinking about Quad 970's and a 5960X. What do you guys suggest? AX1500I get the job done or maybe a Lepa 1600W?

Before anyone asks. Just buying it for an Overkill rig, 4K BF4 and benchmarking :)

AX1200 should be fine. Roughly calculation: 4x GTX 970s consume around 600-700W. i7 5960X consumes around 150w - 200w when OCed. Still has more than 300w for other components. My calculation is kinda in the extreme cases, when benchmarking or gaming they wont be stress as much in the same time so the AX1200 should be fine.

Not that you can acutally SLI 4x GTX970s :). 3 is the maximum.

And this.. :D

I am assuming that the 3 way is core limitation on the 970 even though there is talk that it can be overcome with something like the X99-E WS with the PLX chip. But I cant see that if its a limitation of the core.
