Quad Channel?

I have Gigabyte Z87X-OC Mobo. Will this mobo accept quad channel ram?

Sorry but I dont understand what will and what wont.

Quad channel ram is just 4 matched sticks


It will take 4 sticks of ram, running dual channel

Z87 = Dual channel
X79 = quad channel
