Quad core laptops anytime soon?

Crazy question I know but I'm looking at getting a new laptop (Inspiron 1720) and was just wondering if anyone knows if quad core is coming to laptops anytime soon so I know whether to hold out for it.

im not to sure on the answer but i would imagen there are and if not there will be soon, with the power consumtion not being extreme i dont see why manufacturers wouldnt use them as battery life is normally a problem for power hungry components

I'm not sure they will just yet, dual core laptops can run hot, imagine a quad.

Intel has revealed plans for a quad core laptop chip, but not until 2008.
