Quad core unlocked?

That's right, and there are some new G0 stepping Q6700's being sold as QX6700's, the Q6700 of which dont go over x10 multy.
 
Yep, only the Quad with QX in front of the model number are multiplier unlocked (QX6700, QX6800, QX6850) up and down. The X signifying 'Exterme'
 
heh thats a bit of a bummer... i was looking at swapping my E6600 for a Q6600 but i think i'll wait untill the QX's come down in price a bit more :rolleyes:

Youll be waiting awhile. There will no dramatic price change soon with the Extreme's !
