I'm looking to buy a pair of monitors and currently debating between a few Dell options. I don't want to go bigger than 25" as although I have a decent sized desk, I need to get my speakers and work laptop on as well. Not bothered about the stand as they'll be going on my existing dual monitor arm.
24" UltraSharp U2415 - 1920 x 1200 - £170 each
24" P2421D - 2560 x 1440 - £191 each
24" P2421DC - 2560 x 1400 - £223 each (could possibly save needing the power pack for my work laptop, though that's rated at 90w and Dell list this monitor at 65w)
24 UltraSharp U2520D - 2560 x 1440 - £295 each (90w USB-C power delivery)
I sit at between 50 to 60cm from the screens, though if our cat is using me for a sleep, I'll be 70 to 80cm away.
My debate is 1440p on 24 or 25" too small? I know I can scale Windows 10 to 125%, but at that point I'm thinking I could have saved money and gone for the U2415.
{Edit}
My use is 90% work/productivity with little gaming. My PC is a few years old now but still performs well (Core i5 2500k etc), but the Radeon 5850 1GB is probably the weakest part of it now.
