Quad or Dual for my dad

Hi guys looking some advice my dad is looking an upgraded. He is using a lot of Adobe elements and other imaging programs at the moment. He doesnt play games what would be best for him? I was thinking a quad but am not sure if thats over kill?

For that kind of usage I'd go with a quad over a dual.

Overkill? Probably :p All depends on how much he is planning to spend and the need for speed.
