ok i know nothing uses quad at the mo.

But upgrading now.

Gonna go quad - can you recommend `uba` system :

memory
motherboard
chip
gfx card + another later

the rest I got.

Essentially do graphics - but play Flight sim X - lock On .... so CPU etc GFX is essential.

Havnent upgraded for a couple of years (other than Dell XPS 1710 laptop) and would like to make a desktop last a while ;)

Can somebody recommend top spec system :

OH and a new CASE and power supply.

(already have a Dell 2407 LCD - DVD RW - 2 raptors - .....

need sound card as well.

:)

^ agree, if not going sli 8800, 1kw is overkill, the corsair 620W atx 2.2 is more than enough.

well I suppose another 8800 at some point would be an option.. but then no more money !

Just ordered a DEll 24" monitor - so should help with higher resolutions.

OK got the Dell 2407 - nice screen.

Enermax Galaxy 850 is now running this old system :)

I can get the

Intel Core 2 Quadro Extreme Edition QX6700 for £ 455 delivered
or should I really save the cash and get the 6800 ?

Best motherboard for either chip ?

and memory ? (2gb)

and which 8800 gtx ?

have got everything else.
