Hello guys. I currently have an Asus GTX 295 Graphics card and was thinking of purchasing another to use quad SLI. What i would like to know is weather or not i will be wasting money on another card, and is quad SLI worth it at the moment. Also if it is worth it, what sort of PSU and wattage would be ideal for running 2 of these.

Thanks.

Umm, personally, my first thought it waste of money!
Nvidia have got 2-way SLi right on the button now, but they're no where near with 3 and 4 way

Btw, what resolution you running?

Do you actually do anything that needs that kind of performance?

To be honest i dont really. I love playing games and always want everything set on the highest settings possible when playing. I guess i just want the latest tech. :p

Im running at the highest my monitor can do is 1680x1050

Then it's an absolute waste of money.

To be honest, at that resolution, even the GTX295 will show little real-world improvement over a single GPU GTX285.

If you were running a 30" screen at 2560*1600 then maybe it would be worthwhile. But your screen has only 43% that number of pixels. Upgrade your monitor before you consider throwing any more GPU power into the box.

Thanks for the reply and advice guys. I think ill invest in a better monitor instead then. Any recommendations?

in my opinion 2 way sli is a must at 1920*1080 for a constant 60fps on ultra high graphics and full antialiasing/antistropic filtering and vsync turned on....but quad sli is a little overkill at the moment...wait a while for things to improve
