uGuru utility was reporting my CPU at 20c lastnight. Don't see how that can be right. Especially as the MB reports it around 27c.

Any ideas? MB is an Abit P35 Pro.
 
What does the latest version of coretemp say your CPU temp is? You'll probably find the software your using is out by 15deg as is a lot of other third party apps at the moment (something to do with the tools thinking the T-Junction is 85degC and not 100degC).

Yeah, something doesn't sound right to me too. As above, either try CoreTemp, or maybe even Everest and see what temps they report.
 
If you are using Vista 64..you will have to disable driver signing in Bootup to get it working. If using XP...then Corepemp...or Intel TAT will give you the proper temps.

WOOT....and thats makes me a wiseguy now...LOL.

With Everest I see that my cores are around avg 45c idle at the moment (pretty warm in here with the heating) - does that sound a bit high?

Odd thing is Everest and uGuru still report the 'CPU' (not any individual cores) at around 20!
 
Stock or overclocked?

Intel cooler or aftermarket?

B3 or G0?


Tho idle temps mean very little tbh.

In the good old days, anyone 'celebrating' a certain postcount had it modified by the mods to something like -50 or something. I think we should bring that back.:D

Have changed the fan speed on the back of the case, they are avg 40 now. Infact it's reporting cores 1/3 at 36 for the last few minutes.

I know the CPU fan is running at 600rpm also.
 
ok with the CPU fan on 100% I'm getting 36,35,33,35 right now at idle.

update : running at 2.8. Idle the temps are averages around 38, under Prime95 they can reach 48.
