Quadro P2000 - for Gaming(!)

HI, I have an inherited P2000 that I'm using for gaming, inherited and obviously will upgrade once a GPU in the world becomes available. I had been using userbenchmark to score it and it was hitting around 40%. I had some issues with a Rift S so I decided to reset the system. I've updated drivers now and set up the PC but the GPU benchmark is now down to 28%, shocking!

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix? I've been mainly playing Project Cars 2 with the Oculus, looks awful and very laggy following the system reset. I've downloaded the Nvidia control panel and changed some settings but the 28% didn't improve despite several attempts and reruns.

From what I know this is a workstation card and not really designed for gaming. You would probably need to play 1080p on low settings for decent frames on it and I wouldn;t persoanlly consider it at all for VR.

I completely agree however it was working surprisingly well, had Forza 4 maxed out at 60fps and PC2 was running very nicely on the Rift S. The Rift S was so annoying to use though, ,in that it never connected to the PC properly and you had to spend 20 mins plugging and unplugging to get it to work so I swapped it for the Quest 2 instead. In between the swap is when I reset the computer so it's hard to tell what is causing the issue. All I can say is that the P2000 worked pretty well for 1080p and on the VR and now, following the factory reset it doesn't so I can only assume it's a setting/driver issue but I can't find it.

whats stats in benchmark, cpu usage, gpu usage etc? maybe settings changed in game so its slower now.

I'll check and come back, thanks for the reply (to all) it's appreciated. I have 2 pc's to upgrade, same specs. For the time being I have just bought a GTX 980TI from eBay (only GPU I can find at the moment) so that'll go into mine for the time being. I wonder if the other one can house 2 P2000's and that will increase the graphic/game performance on the other one...? Will probably end up putting the 980 in that one at some point in the future when we're able to actually buy a new GPU.
