Hi,
I have a i7 4930k overclocked to 4.4 P9x79 motherboard, quadro 4000 graphics card, 32 gb and a h100i water cooler and the corsair 500r case with the two intake fans at the front, the one large intake fan at the side and one outtake fan at the back.

My computer isnt doing much and

i7 is 36 degr
i7 activity is 0
quadro 4000 core is 84 deg
quadro 4000 board is 64 deg
quadro 4000 memory is 77 deg
seaget drive is 29 deg
western digital is 29 deg

I am worried this is way to hot and not sure what to do.

Any help would be great
Thank you

Hello and welcome to forum :)

Sounds a little warm if the gpu is idle, down load GPU-Z and this will show if the gpu is under stress (might be program not shut down properly).

If not I assume the fans are running and the system free from dust.

Thanks,
i checked CPU-z core speed 1199MHz
graphics card core is 475MHz

Is the fan intake and outtake ok do you think? or is it the graphics card that has gone perhaps

Arh ok, gpu-z, ill try that and report back.

Here are the readings.
it has slowly crept back up to 70 degrees from being on 54 on start up and it isnt doing much at all

I took the graphics card from the computer, I got a hand pump used for cleaning camera lens and used it on the quadro 4000, it blew out quite a bit of dust. I didnt have a small enough screw driver to open the 8-9 small screws on the case but will also try this to see if there is any more dust. The h100i was not plugged in correctly using the usb connecttion also the wires in the machine are a bit of a mess so I need to organise this better which may also help airflow.

The idle temperature now is 52-56. I will test it on rendering and see how it is.

Will cleaning up the wires in the case as in putting them through the back etc help with the heat?

I dont know if to replace the thermal paste on the GPU, any thought and methods and thermal paste to use would be great.

Thank you,
Tarik

Just in case anyone has the same problem. I installed a gelid icy vision apply new thermal paste mk4 and it's gone from 95 degrees on load to 43 and 36 on idle. Very happy with the results.
