Been offered a Road Legal RAM 170cc Quad for throw away money.

This quad is taxed & MOT'd for another 5 months and has all documents present, the fairings could do with being painted but that's no problem for the guys at the bodyshop I use.

Thinking of using it off road, and for popping to the shops etc just a bit of fun really.

Are they cheap to insure? And worth getting or not?

There is a fat 23 stone mid 30's bloke that speeds up and down our street on a yellow quad.
God he looks a nob.

I would love a go on one, but where the hell would you keep it at night? It wouldn't fit through a normal sized side gate, and it's too easy to nick if you just leave it on the drive.

I could put it in my garage.......

Last time I used them off road was in the deserts in Tunisia, my aim to get muddy here tho and obviously the fast that it's road legal means I can drive it there and back without the need for a trailer or van.
