I recently bought this on steam and its still a great game, although I'm very rusty at it and getting owned a lot, but who cares.

On the space maps I have seen players flying way off into space and then appearing again and blasting me, wtf is going on? I have never seen anybody doing that back in the day when I used to play on the dreamcast.

theres a teleport on one of them =P
 
Theres a teleport on what? They are not teleporting it looks like the are riding on top of the flames from weapon fire, its hard to describe.
 
theres a teleport on one part of the space games ah is there new new weapons that can teleport you like in UT ???

or a cheat #?
 
yer proper rocket jumping is what quakes all about forget about the dreamcast version play it how it was intended.

Yes rick827, its the one with the rail gun out on its own. It definately wasn't rocket or BFG jumping. These guys were really good and if you managed to knock one of them off the edge with a rocket you see this fire/lightning effect blasting downwards and they just fly off quite long way.

On a related note I think Excessive plus isn't working properly. On excessive servers the scoreboard is just a grey blocky mess and I cant read it. Particle effects from the walls etc are also little grey squares with a light grey outline? Any ideas?

Anyone up for a game sometime? I normally play on SEXY'S server under the name MUM.
