to get it to run at that res, go into the q3config.cfg and change these lines so they look like this
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "1680"
seta r_customheight "1050"
seta cg_fov "110" (mess about with this one until you think it looks right)
theres plenty of servers for it still not too many in the uk but a few, more people play the mods though, mainly osp and cpma
