Quake 4 £15

i seen in gamestation the other day and brand new it was only £15.00 so i might get it but im not sure weather it will run or not.

Yeah it was £9.99 a few months ago. It would need to drop to about £0.99 before I'd buy it though.. and even then I'd think twice.

bit dear for rubbish :eek:

puts the quake series and idsoftware to shame. I think they've released 1patch since the release which only sorts out the interface bugs.
Shame about the other 25+ game bugs

i've not played it online so i'm guessing this is where the bugs were? but as a single player FPS it's excellent, was one of my fave games of 2005. Def worth £10 - £15.

yer I mainly bought it for online gameplay.

Altho I did try playing it on singleplayer with my online config and had loads of problems/bugs. There were problems with lighting and there was no crosshair onscreen at all :eek:

so I guess it depends on whether u use the default cfg etc, personally I think halflife2 singleplayer is massively better than quake4.

I would just buy it for the singla player mode, although, I wasnt really too kean on the multiplayer mode tbh

I changed res and texture settings and control settings, just the usual, and I had no errors whatsoever. Maybe it all goes boobs up after playing multiplay ?
