Quake 4 probs

Just installed my new Radeon x1800 and when i try to run quake 4 it slightly loads then crashes. any ideas?

I went from a nVidia 7300GS to a Radeon, all my other games work fine.

Just trying reinstall now.

I used the Omega drivers for ati, but the latest catalyst version from them.

The drivers came with the control panel for Ati and i think Multi Res.

You think its best to look @ them for refresh rates?

What res is your desktop? Exectly how far does Quake get? What games do work and does anything elses act funny?

My desktop is 1280x1024.

The game worked fine on 800x600 which i had to use on my old gfx card.

I think i might install the offical drivers from the ati site and try that?

BFMEII, CSS and all my other games work fine :/
