Quake 4: Special Edition (PC)

Just bought a secondhand copy of the above, which is supposed to include XP compatible versions of Quake 2 and its add on missions (main reason for buying). However on installing the main programme all that happens if I click on the desktop Quake 4 icon is Quake 4 launches, with no option or means that I can see to run Quake 2.

I've contacted the seller but while waiting for a reply, can anyone else who owns this version advise:

1. If Quake 2 is actually supplied on a separate disc (similar to the X-Box version), in which case the seller has omitted to send it.

2. If not, how on Earth are you supposed to access Quake 2!

How many discs are in your pack? Just one?
There should be a second DVD which includes The making of Quake 4 plus Quake 2 and expansions.

Just the one DVD.

Thanks for confirming that - now emailing the seller to request he either sends the second disc or has the item back for a refund.

picked up a copy of this for 3.99 on sale at the min at a well known supermartet website

Any chance you can PM me with the retailer?

I've checked Asbo and a couple of the others, cheapest I can see is £11.93 but with a 2 - 4 week shipping delay.

The guy I bought it off on South American River Marketplace has not responded to my emails and S.A.R. Helpdesk don't seem all that interested so guess I will have to write that copy off.

just think of the supermarket that has 4 letters and normaly pats there ass at the end of the tv advert

After another email the seller has now responded, has "found" the disc and going to send it on.

So happy ending (once it turns up!).
