Quake Demo Soundtrack

Does anyone remember playing the Quake demo when it first came out?

There was a music track on the demo that was much faster and more pumping than any of the official nine inch nails tracks on the official album.

I want that track but cant find it anywhere, unless I tracked down a CD with the Quake demo on. Any ideas?

I've downloaded the demo and I can't get it to work at the moment - it won't run at all on XP x64 edition and it crashes out with a general protection fault in XP Pro

I don't think the music will be in the demo download. It plays from the cd in the game. I'm listening to it now

I'd type out my rendition of it below, in a Daaa Na Na Na Na format, so that everyone can appreciate Trent Reznors musical genius, but I'm scard that the iraa, sorry, RIAA would jump on me :rolleyes:

Yep, I'm still listening to my bought and payed for, original Quake 1 cd :cool:

[edit] oops. I suppose I should say, other than buying the original game from a bargain bin somewhere, I have absolutely no idea where you can get the music from. Got a mate close by that would lend you his Q1 cd ?

I think Im going to have to purge eghey and swap shops for the elusive track:
