Classic days when the first UT demo came out all those years ago. I remember playing for hours on end against the offline bots

the latest from id is "We are putting new queue code into place. Your line in the queue may appear to jump VERY high suddenly, but will then drop sharply after" , trying to be patient here!

ok can someone tell me if i am doing something wrong here.

i que and download the client. enter my verification code. restart browser and go to quakelive.com. it puts me back in the que!

if i click on the quakelive logo i go to my profile page where it says "you must finish the placement match...checking your download data" and it just sits there doing nothing!

anyone eles ehaving this issue?
do i have to re join the que?

You have to join the queue and wait until you are at the top (takes ages

) Then you play a tutorial and a placement match and then you are free to play. But when you leave and log off, you have to rejoin the queue again. It took me 30mins to get to the front of the queue, and i must say, playing was great fun - but they still need to sort out this queue business.

Every now and again, the web page will crash. As in wont work, yet every other tab in IE will work, so I have to reload page, which means I'm back in the queue. Frustrating.

Argh, ffs, days after the launch it's still sticking me 1880th in the queue!

Nor have they bothered to make it compatible with Opera!!!!
