Quake Wars Beta Video performance Roundup

My FPS has only ever gone down to 40 in that building you described (Just been on for quick game) and whenever im near a hammer or dark matter explosion, its mainly up there in the 60's/70's but has gone all the way up to 100 :eek: . GTS owners I hear are having some perf issues?
 
Im sure everyone with an 8800 or 2900 card will be able to play this game fine. I saw the lead guy from splash damage demo this game at i30 live and it all looked pretty smooth, and i don't think he was using a super high end PC either.

I get anyware from 30-60 (capped) fps with 1280x1024 max details, 4xAA, 8xAF with an 8800gts 320. Most of the time it's at 60 but does down in close firefights and indoors.

With shadows off it never really goes under ~35fps.

Nice - unless I use SLI AA (which is a whole different story) I take quite a hit going from 4x to 8x in the game - guess that 2900 must be good for something...

Yup as the 2900XT does AA in the shaders, upping the AA level hardly ever changes the performance, if the shaders are less busy. Take Doom 3 for example, I get absoloutly no change in the time demo performance wise from 8xAA to 16xAA. :D
 
Ok, im still awaiting a replacement for my HIS 1950PRO 512MB AGP rev2 as i sent it to overclockers to be replaced due to artifacting, do you reckon with this card, i should be able to play the game at 1280,1024 quite well 40fps +?
