Has everyone stopped playing quake wars or something?

When it came out I could find 2000+ servers but now the most I ever get is about 80, half of which have 100+ pings. Was trying to find a server running island just now but couldn’t find a single one. :(

Only filters I use are not full, not empty, ranked and punkbuster on.

I don’t know why this game is not more popular, I think it’s great. But if it continues to go the way its going in a few more weeks I won’t be able to find a server running any map.

You got your game all patched up? 1.2 I believe it is...

Although looking at Game-Monitor, lots of servers but only around 2,500 people playing.

And when you compare it to CoD4 (35,000 people playing), you can see where they all went. ;)

People are probably all still playing the original Enemy Territory, the new one is rubbish I was a huge RTCW/ET fan and my copy has been sat in my draw since release day. :(

Plus like Digital says I imagine COD4 is hugely popular.

Personally I think quake wars is the best game ive played since Battlefield 2 came out 2 years ago but then I haven’t played RTCW or COD4 yet.

Yes it's a lot like Battlefield.

That's what I personally do not like about it (I could never get into BF), the previous RTCW/ET games were a unique style whereas the new one is very much like Battlefield what with the huge open maps and vehicles.

I also don't like the whole Marine/Strogg thing especially the jump packs with Strogg bouncing around all over the place, I much preferred the old WW2 formula.
