Any news on Doom?

Nothing I've personally heard or seen yet. But I believe right this moment they're halfway through a presentation and sneak preview.

Happy #QuakeCon everyone, sorry I'm not there...

There's bad blood caused by Bethesda suing Oculus.
Seems Carmack left because Zenimax were unwilling to work with VR and gave Carmack the option of working on their projects or leaving.

Whenever people mention quakecon all I think of is all those lucky people getting fallout and skyrim for cheap on steam.

The Quake Live duel tournament is really interesting this year. The Tox games vs Rapha and Dahang were incredible. Rapha getting knocked out in quater finals in unhead of.

Yep, Rapha off his game this year.

Dahang v Cypher in the grand final tomorrow. No doubt Cypher to win it again, though it would be nice to see Dahang take the Quakecon crown as he hasn't so far.

Currently CTF rounds are being streamed.

The duelling meta has moved on so far some of the old school top tier struggle - they have the reaction times, aim and ability to read the opponent's game but its become much more about micro managing the stack and using the items (whether you take them or not) to try and dictate the game to a far more complex level than back in the day where it was more about timing the RA and being quicker on your feet.

Not sure it's so much that Rapha is off his game, I think it's more that Tox is ON his game :P

I'm betting Cypher will win it too.

I get what you're saying, but Tox is more old school than Rapha, which is who he lost to :p

Tox usually just plays for fun at tourneys not to win, this year he practised hard and went for the win, it was good to see.
