Quality ale in York

Can anybody recommend any hidden gems in York for a beer fan? Have around 9 hours there today and my usual route seems a little short.

The usual stops would be Brigantes, Pivni, Trembling Madness, The York Tap & a Sam Smith's bar (the name escapes me). I've been told the Roman Bath is good so that is on the cards.

Am I missing anywhere?

The york brewery has a pub in it but I think you need to be eithere a member or take the tour either way it's an awsome place to relax with some nice beer!

Evil Eye has a mouthwatering selecting of beers. Its a beer shop in the from with a bar in the back

Thanks for the recommendations guys. The first one was suggested when I was on the train home and very well served.

Been to the York Brewery pub before when there was a beer festival on, the beer was even half price for 2 hours :O

Been in the Evil Eye too, always feels wrong to be there when Trembling Madness is just a few doors down with their 300 or so beers.

Shall try the Kings Arms on the next visit, think it was flooded the last time I was down.

They dont usually let a little thing like being flooded stop them in the Kings Arms
