Quality Case Crisis!

I'm still in the market for a nice case and am struggling with finding something I want. I'm looking at spending less that £200 and ideally less that £150. I am looking for a case that looks and feels quality with a good window and great looks. I like the RV02 but it looks a bit plasticy which, despite it being good quality plastic, does not give the the sense of quality I like. The obvious choice would be a FT01, I like the interior, window and thick aluminium on this case, but the exterior is a bit meh.

So, any suggestions? Also, if anyone wants to sell any cases, modded or unmodded let me know as I would be interested in second hand cases, especially ones that have been modded well. A windowed TJ-07 would be excellent if anyone had one!

A very nice looking case but was looking for something bigger, probably should have mentioned that in the OP! Some of them nice Lian Li cases like that is something I am really considering though.

An FT02 would be an obvious suggestion at around that price point, they can be found for ~£190.

Otherwise, one of Cubitek's new cases (the XL Tank @ £142 looks good), though I'd wait for some reviews to surface, though the Mini-Tank got a good review from Tom's. No window though, although getting one put in by a certain company isn't too expensive, especially not if you get Overclockers to send the case straight there. It would also open up some other options like the A70.

Failing those, I'm looking for a new case.

FT02 would be fantastic, haven't really looked anywhere else than OCUK yet, they offer a great service plus the free delivery which makes the deal even sweeter. I do have my eye on the Cubitek cases, I have sent them an email and I may get one free to review :). I love the idea of a windowed A70, not sure if it would be able to retain the same styling though. Most of the mainstream ones like the HAF X and the 650D look far too trashy to consider IMO. It's nice to have something with a bit of class and the looks! I would love to get my hands on a TJ07, but I am not hopeful. Nothing more tormenting than seeing them for £110 on the MM and finding out they are already sold!

The A70 is a very nice case, but if you wanted a window it would be expensive to buy the replacement window panel. May be a lot cheaper to get a pc modding company to do it.

FT02 is a definite winner if I can get one for the price. So if anyone is selling an FT02 or TJ-07- give me a bell!

As much as I love the 800D's design, it is not well suited for air cooling and is a little too popular. I'd like something a little different with good quality like the FT02 or something original like the TJ-07 which I can add my own touches to. I'm thinking TJ07+ Carbon fibre internals...

The ft02 is overpriced currently I wouldn't pay the silly prices they are at the moment and as much as I'd want one few things do put me off such as the cooler height/width restriction for all we know the next best air coolers are all going to be over 160mm tall the thermalright archon is already 170mm tall and wont fit I just think it's best to be future proof.

Coolermaster ATCS 840 is the case you want it's gigantic but a windowed side panel will cost you an extra £26 though so looking at around £180 in total could always buy the panel later down the line to ease the blow.

My vote would go to the Corsair Obsidian 650D, £138 and has a good balance of classy looks and performance, only a midi case though.

Still pretty big though.

As to C64, 167mm isn't that much of a restriction. I have a Thermalright HR02 in mine with a few mm of clearance.

ATCS 840 is a very nice case that I would consider getting and having a window cut on it. The 650D is a case that I really don't like! The window gives a good view of the... PSU and has a cheap looking frame around it, then it has them clips that ruin the sleek appearance of the case. Not something I want, no offence to the owners though. Also a bit too mainstream, I like to have something a little different as I don't want my rig to look like everyone elses- doesn't have the soul otherwise!
