On a budget of £130ish and looking for a pocketable(ish) camera that will give me excellent quality images but not fussed about lots of features. Would want some manual control eg aperture and shutter priority. Mainly daylight shooting of landscapes, buildings and wildlife ( so a decent zoom would be a plus) etc. Any suggestions??

fujifilm f31, got one for my travelling and it was good. got loads of manual settings and other fearures someone else will be able to expand on.

The 6500 is a bit on the large side. The f31 looks good for low light but some talk about purple fringing in good light?? Done some research and the Powershot 710 IS looks good. Any comments?

The f31 deffo suffers from purple fringing badly. I found a few reviews when looking for a camera recently with sample pics and they were quite evident.

The 710 IS uses the old Digic II processor so if you can live without the extra zoom I would go for the A570 IS which uses the Digic III and is around the same price.
