p4 3.4ghz, 1024mb ram, x800xt 256mb (agp), 250gb sata, 19" tft, creative inspire digital 5500 (via spdif)
I play bf2, cod2, pes5, cs/cs:s and get decent fps (good enuff for my crapness anyway)

I have approx £1500 (once missus agree's lol) to buy a new pc as my son wants one so am giving him this
trouble is pc is in dining room and I am remodelling house and want to use as a dining room as opposed to diner/office.
should i.... keep in dining room and tell missus tuff and wait for conroe, go athlon64 939/am2 and pcie now or do i get a laptop that will play current/future games (for next 12-18months) altho i know getting a decent spec laptop for 1500 quid to do all that is gonna be tight
have lan with wifi router etc already for lappy aswell.
