Ok, so I knoow im asking a lot of questions, but my head is spinning from the different advice Ive had.

Basically, I want to play fallout 4, but to do this requires an updated graphics card as I have a 5870 currently. I game at 1440 resolution and have no plans for 4k just now.

Do I buy:

7990
R9 290
R9 380
R9 380x (If its coming out any time soon)
Something else

I have a 750 Coolermaster PSU, so I was thinking, what about two graphics cards, but then you are limited to the ram on one graphics card, which won't be enough.

I wouldn't buy a 7990 now. Depending on price a 290 or a 390 if you can find the budget for it. 290 is actually running the game great at 1440 for me as of today when I found the right settings. Getting 72fps almost everywhere now(v-sync 144hz screen).

Shadow distance to medium or low bumped me from lows of 20fps to lows of 60fps, the killer setting.

None of the options in the OP.

You need something with at least 4gb of VRAM and as DM says above a 290 or 390 are a good place to start.

A 290X is still going to stomp on the 380x when it comes out according to benchmarks. Am I better getting a 290x?

Can you give me those settings please :)
