Quantic Dreams new Engine Exclusive to PS3

It'd be interesting to see them release a sci-fi title, I'm sure the video could've just been something they decided to put together for the sake of a demo, but it'd be interesting nonetheless.

Edit: Scratch that, just read up on their previous title (have only played Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain), would still be neat for another sci-fi game though :D

That was amazing. I just thought of it as another tech demo when it first started, and by the end of it I was dying to play it. Sublime.

Wonder if they've learnt how to optimise for PS3 correctly this time around. Heavy Rain, sure it was a great game apart from the truly horrific screen tearing...

Maybe one of the worst I'd seen on the PS3, even the credits wouldn't scroll smoothly...

Which was a total shame, as once you noticed the screen tear, it took away the fact it was an interactive movie, and it was just a game...

It looks amazing yes BUT as with all tech demos needs to be taken with a little sceptiscism. Tech Demos look awesome but in reality building an entire game on the same engine running with all the features is very rare as the demo is usually optimised to run that scene in real time but once you add user input things change. Its a timed demo. Make a game where the engine needs to take in to account what your doing to the environment and it all changes. Looks great but games made using it wont be as good looking. The origional Heavy Rain tech demo is a great example. She looked sublime and the detail and movement was incredible but the final game was nowehere as high in production fidelity as the tech demo suggested it could have been

Really??

Yes really. The Heavy Rain interview tech demo looked loads better than the actual Heavy Rain game. Thanks for proving my point there

It did? Fair enough the roaming parts. But the QTE/cutscene interactions? They were pretty much on the par from what I remember? It's a tech demo, because its demoing...The tech
