I think it's better suited to VA personally, as per TVs with it ... but it's probably the best we'll get for a while (when more QD film/filters come along). Since LG.D have a near monopoly on large OLED displays for the time-being, they're not going to produce monitors using it as they can still get mileage out of their IPS and TN business. Technically there's absolutely nothing stopping them producing 32-34" curved OLED monitors now, but they don't want to compete with themselves until their LCD plants are nearer EOL and OLED production is much higher.
Samsung stepping back temporarily from large OLEDs, and Panasonic / Sony pulling out entirely for the time-being really set back the timeline for OLEDs for PCs.
Mind you, if any ~40" 4K OLEDs are released in '16 with SuperMHL, I can see some PC gamers snapping those up.
